IF SHIELDS ARE DAMAGED, FIRE PHASERS WITH A LARGE ENERGY BUDGET (SAY, 80UNITS FOR EACH KLINGON). USING TORPEDOES CAN ALLOW KLINGONS TO RETALIATE BETWEEN SHOTS. IF YOU ARE NOT IMMEDIATELY UNDER ATTACK: 1. COMMAND "LRS" TO SEE WHAT IS IN THE QUADRANTS ADJACENT TO YOURS, THEN COMMAND "COM" AND SELECT "CUMULATIVE GALACTIC RECORD" TO DETERMINE YOUR LOCATION IN THE GALAXY. 2. BEFORE "NAV"-ING INTO A KLINGON INFESTED QUADRANT, SET YOUR SHIELDS. A GOOD SHIELD VALUE IS BETWEEN 150 AND 200 ENERGY UNITS. IMPACTS ON THE SHIELDS DECREASE ENERGY LOSS AND SHIELDS PREVENT DAMAGE. 3. USE TORPEDOS WHEN KLINGONS ARE ON CARDINAL COMPASS POINTS FROM YOU (0, 45, 90 DEGREES, ETC.) OTHERWISE FIRE PHASERS. PHASERS AUTO-TARGET ALL ENEMY CRUISERS IN YOUR QUADRANT AND DIVIDE THE ENERGY EQUALLY AMONGST THEM. DISTANCE REDUCES HITS ON KLINGONS. IT CAN TAKE FROM 50 TO 150 UNITS TO DESTROY A KLINGON AT DISTANCE. 4. SAVE STARDATES BY "NAV"-ING ONE QUADRANT TOO FAR INTO UNKNOWN TERRITORY (QUADRANTS WITH "###" IN THE GALACTIC RECORD) AND THEN USING "LRS" TO CHECK OUT ADJACENT QUADRANTS.
