I received this rare one as standard issue with a correspondence course in electronics engineering I took in the late '60s. It is a standard N-500-ES "eye-saver" yellow HI-Log/Log rule except for the reproduction of the "Grantham" logo on the right end of the slide. There was no book supplied with it since the course covered useage in solving various problems throughout. The plastic-lined scabbard has the Pickett and Grantham Electronics Schools logos and a D-ring for attaching a clip-on belt loop which has been lost.

Another correspondence school issue rule, this rule was patented in 1964, by Darrell Geiger. The patent was assigned to the Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Both the rule and the leather case are marked "Cleveland Institute of Electronics", as well as "Pickett" (gold stamping is brighter than the picture shows).This 10" (12" long) style is the rule with special radio scales for computation of AC circuit impedance and resonance. The back has a collection of common electronics formulas as well as the Pickett "decimal locator." No manual was supplied; instructions were given at intervals in the course booklets.

Low-cost 10" rule with 8-inch scales. All plastic white standard rule with simple plastic sleeve. Rule has an inch-ruler with 1/16" markings on one edge, and a ".050" increment ruler on the other. The pale green slide can be removed and flipped over to use the trig/log scales on its reverse side, although the C-scale is lost when doing so. Perhaps for some calculations, the C-scale reading can be saved in the cursor hairline position temporarily while the S, L, and T scales are used?

This all-metal pocket rule is approx. 6.25" long, with tan clip-case. Case has Pickett logo embossed front andback, embossed "California Saddle Leather", steer-head, and name "T. VARHELYI" in ink on front. Tiny owners initials ball-pointed into upper front of body.

The successor to the "most popular slide rule in the world", the N1010, the N1011 added a Ln scale to the back of the upper frame.

It is complete in the box except that the scabbard belt loop is missing.

Includes the box, plastic-lined leather scabbard, "How to use trig slide rules", "How to use Dual Base Slide Rule Exponential Ln-L Scales", registration card with guarantee, box insert "slid rule selector" listing types and applications, and the interlocking cardboard loop that holds everything together.
